Oh...You Have Got to Go

So I am cleaning out one of my closets (dont' get it twisted...I do have 3 closets, but they are all very small) and I have got 13 pairs of shoes that I don't want anymore that will be looked over and chosen by my girlfriends soon. You all know I love me some shoes so it is hard to part with them.

I got to thinking about this fabulous pair of Nine West black sling backs I had a few years ago. They were THE BEST for work. My dog has NEVER in 7 years chewed a pair of shoes, but he did get a hold of these and tore up the heel a little. I didn't even care...I kept on sportin them. Then one day I was at dinner with some friends and someone looked at my shoes and said "those look comfortable". And that was my cue....time to throw them out. If someone says my shoes look comfortable it is time to go! Sling backs are not supposed to look comfortable, but I guess my love for these shoes had blinded me to the fact that I had worn them so much that to an on-looker they appeared comfortable.

Shame on me...

So now you have another fashion rule according to Ginger...if someone says your shoes look comfy you better rethink them. Unless of course you are wearing Easy Spirits or SAS (love you grandma).

She's Got Legs

So today's post is not at all about fashion, but rather about legs. I read an article the other day about which shorts are best for your body type. According to Marie Claire or Glamour...I can't remember which...I should wear longer shorts with wider waste bands. Ok...I can dig it. Sounds good, only I want to be able to wear those cute little shorts that skinny girls wear.

What this boils down to is that I covet Carrie Underwoods legs. I want them. I know the answer to having legs like this is to probably lay off all the mexican food and actually lift weights which I am totally capable of doing. I just need some serious motivation! So Carrie, feel free to send your trainer and chef my way...I am sure you are in Nashville a lot so we could workout together.

I Like My Money Right Where I Can See it...Hanging In my Closet -Carrie Bradshaw

Ok Ladies...it's finally here.

I am going to SATC2 tonight and cannot wait. Last night Ashley's Bride Guide threw a fantastic premiere party that was simply fabulous. I was there with NALA and all of my latest looks...some inspired by the fashionistas of SATC.

If I could have one wish it would be for a closet like the one Big had built for Carrie on the first movie. I mean THAT is a GOOD man!!! I want shoe shelves that are slanted so I can see all of my shoes all of the time. Wouldn't that just be heaven?

I'm Torn

I have always been a fan of TLC's What Not to Wear. My 2 favorite parts are watching people try on their clothes in the 360 degree mirror and also seeing the clothes that Stacy and Clinton suggest for the poor soul who has just been extremely embarrassed.

They always say that NO ONE should wear capri pants. I admit, I think they are usually more casual than one should look if working or going out, but some girls look super sassy and cute in them. Maybe it has to do with how tall you are. Me being 5'3" I am sure I am excluded from the group that should wear them if that is the case.

I don't know??? I am torn!

Oh No She Didn't

It's official...no one is safe from my fashion citations. Hopefully this lady was just scared of her feet getting cold on the airplane because there is truly no excuse for ankle socks and mules. Bless her bones...she needs an intervention.

If you all have any "Oh No She Didn't" or "Fashion Forward" pics please share with me at shopnala@gmail.com.

In the meantime, take off the ankle socks if you are wearing anything but tennis shoes.

Not Sure What I Think

I am loving so many of the trends that are either stickin around or coming back for spring and summer. I have been reading that clogs are back. I remember not being fond of gladiators sandals when they first came out so maybe these will grow on me, but for right now I am going to have to say I am on the fence.

Of course my closet was filled with clogs about 4-5 years ago. Those are long gone...who would have thought they would come back? And for spring and summer???

We'll see how long this one sticks around.

In the Clear

I am loving the clear jewelry trend. For me it is so reminiscent of playing dress up as a little girl. I just love a little gaudy-ness! I can't wait to find some of these for NALA and rock them with some fabulous dresses. This look will be simply smashing with the pastel trend that has carried over from last spring.

Let me know what you all think about this trend.
